Our Premier Hot Tub Chemicals COLLECTION...
Even Bigger Savings on Ex-Demonstration Spas! - Ask Now!

Maintenance may be the less glamorous aspect of owning a hot tub, but it’s also crucial for preventing issues with hygiene. Without chemicals to sanitise the water, bacteria can cause your hot tub to become unsafe for bathers, which is why our range of cleaners and testers is both effective and easy to use.
Although the different hot tub chemicals can seem confusing at first glance, we’ve kept things simple by breaking the use of each chemical down.
Chlorine sanitisers
Chlorine is widely used in swimming pools and hot tubs for its ability to quickly disinfect water by killing bacteria and algae. However, over time chlorine ‘deactivates’, which gradually reduces its effectiveness. That’s why we recommend weekly, bi-weekly or monthly applications, depending on your usage and the size of the hot tub. If you use chlorine, you should aim to maintain 3-5mg/l, which can be monitored using chlorine test strips.
Cover, filter and panel cleaners
Over time, grease, debris, hair and more can get caught in your hot tub’s filter. With a specialist spray, you can remove the worst of it, ensuring your filter can work effectively. Your hot tub cover and the exterior panels can also pick up debris from outside. Using our range of specially formulated sprays, you can easily tackle all manner of dirt and debris, ensuring your prized hot tub will look the part.
Make sure you never mix chemicals, as doing so could cause an adverse reaction and pose a health risk. If you want to switch chemical cleaners, flush and thoroughly clean your hot tub beforehand.
pH regulators
Regulating the pH levels in your hot tub doesn’t have to be complicated. The ideal pH level should be between 7.2-7.6, and over time sanitisers can cause the water to drift outside of this range and become too acid (below 7.2) or alkaline (above 7.6). Using straightforward pH tester strips, you can monitor this level, using pH increasers or decreasers if necessary. It may sound complicated, but monitoring pH and applying regulators will quickly become a breeze after you’ve done it the first couple of times.
Test strips
We’ve made it easier than ever to maintain hot tub chemical levels with test strips, which provide the quick, easy-to-understand numbers you need to know. We recommend using test strips for pH and chemicals on a weekly basis or after heavy usage, so you can stay on top of hygiene and ensure your hot tub is safe for use.
